Kanamori Alloy Co., Ltd.

Established in 1714, this is a long-established foundry company located in Kanazawa, Ishikawa, with its roots in the service of Maeda Toshinaga, the lord of the Kaga Domain.
We have inherited traditional sand casting that has continued since the Edo period, and metal refining technology that realizes the supply of materials for rocket parts. In 2019, we launched the lifestyle brand “KAMAHACHI,” which makes use of the functionality of the metal material itself and beautifully colors everyday scenes.

[Tableware making experience]

You will experience it at a traditional sand casting foundry that has been passed down since 1714.

■Select the product design you want to manufacture.

・Various cast aluminum cutlery rests

・Cast aluminum tile plate (□ 100 x t5 mm)

■Under the guidance of a craftsman in the foundry, we will experience sand mold making together.

■We will observe the process of casting aluminum alloy melted at approximately 800°C. You can take the products home on the same day.

■We will engrave with a hammer using alphabet/number engravings.

Customize items just for yourself, such as your own pattern, name, initials, birthdays, anniversaries, serial numbers, etc.

[Experience points]

・You can experience traditional sand casting that has been passed down since 1714.

・Utilize in-house metal refining, which supplies materials for rocket parts, and utilize aluminum plates used when printing newspapers as materials. You can observe the casting process where refining is performed at a high temperature of about 800℃.

・An item made in Japan made of durable materials refined to Japanese industrial standards that will not break. It's lucky, so be sure to enjoy it as a gift for someone special, as an original gift, or as your own amulet.

[About reservations]

If you select the number of people from “1. Number of users” in the upper right corner of the screen, the fee will be displayed on “2. Calendar Date”. Please select your desired date and start time and proceed from “Request a Reservation”.

■Experience Day: Twice a month on Saturday or settlement day

・Please check the calendar for implementation dates.

・Due to the production process, a minimum of two items can be reserved.

・The maximum number of people in the experience space is about 6 people

Time required: Approx. 90 minutes

Fees: Includes product costs, casting costs, and production guidance

Manufacture of cast aluminum cutlery rests 3,850 yen/1 piece (tax included)

Cast aluminum tile plate production 8,250 yen/1 piece (tax included)

■Target age: Elementary school students and older

・When a small child experiences the experience, please be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

・Please refrain from wearing high heels and wear clothes that are easy to move around in.

・We will lend you hats, aprons, and work gloves.
